Description

Heavy duty hinged casement (HC) secondary glazing, with bead options for heavier glass and sealed units. Offers full access to the outer window, and is designed to be unobtrusive with no mullions or transoms to impede the view. The unit incorporates strong, purpose designed, colour matched flush hinges and concealed multi-point locking. Handles are powder coated and colour matched to frame (or closest colour possible for anodizing).

Suitable for large windows and doors, clean and secure environments or, when glazed with sealed units, optimum thermal insulation. All fixings are concealed within the frame, which may be linked to other frames with a colour-matched mullion/ transom section. Other features include an adjustable stay arm (up to 90°) and twin compression seals.

Suitable for applications where access to the primary window is only required for cleaning and maintenance purposes. Larger glazing beads accommodate the use of sealed units.

Will reduce heat loss by up to 50% using standard glass, up to 65% with a thermally efficient glass (low emissivity). High performance compression seals will almost eliminate drafts and ensure much greater comfort near the window.

Thermal performance:

U-values as low as 1.79 W/m²K can be achieved (timber primary window and low-E glass in secondary glazing).

Approvals:

  • Acoustic: Tested in accordance with BS EN ISO 140-3:1995 for acoustic performance.
  • Security: Secured by Design (SBD) accredited.
