On-site water based intumescent steel coating.
Application
SC802 is optimised to provide 60 minutes of fire resistance to ‘I’ section beams and columns, hollow columns and beams, as well as cellular beams.
Description
A water based, white, thin film intumescent coating for the protection of internal structural steelwork.
Features and benefits:
- Water based intumescent coating suitable for internal use on structural steelwork for up to 60-minute fire resistance.
- Offers greater efficiency on site.
- Compatible with a full range of Nullifire primers and topcoats.
- Very low VOC.
- Optifire®+ unique traceability identifier.
- Meets BS 476-20 and -21 and Cellular beams YB5.
- Building classification: C1, C2 and C3 environments only.
Top seal:
Once DFT's have been achieved as specified, a Nullifire top seal can be applied. Ensure the product is completely dry before applying a top seal. For approved top seal products, consult the manufacturer.
