Application
- For use in mechanically fixed and adhered roof systems.
- As a vapour barrier for single-ply roofing systems.
- As a carrier membrane as part of the Protan LR20 system on timber, concrete and PIR insulation.
Description
The Protan self-adhesive vapour control layer/carrier membrane is a self-adhesive, bituminous waterproofing membrane that forms a barrier against vapour and gases; it is also used as a carrier membrane as part of the Protan LR20 liquid membrane system.
The VCL/ Carrier membrane consists of a self-adhesive, low-thickness, bituminous compound, protected by a glass fibre and a reinforced aluminium film. The glass fibre and polyester reinforcement provide excellent resistance to puncture and the effects of work site foot traffic.
