  • Roof services supports.
  • Roof walkways.

Suitable for use with the following roof covering types:

  • Built-up and hot melt roofing systems.
  • Ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) roofing membrane.
  • Liquid applied roof coatings.
  • Polyisobutylene (PIB) roofing membrane.
  • Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) roofing membrane.

  • Thermoplastic polyethylene (TPE) roofing membrane.
  • Thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roofing membrane.

Description

ROOFTRAK® IFP-GR integrated fixing point system for use in green and inverted roof constructions where the weathering membrane is beneath the green roof build up or insulation.

Features and benefits:

  • Can be used where the membrane is laid directly over the roof deck or in green roofs where the insulation is under the membrane.
  • Comprised of a variable height post on a fixing plate to bring the fixing point above the level of the roof build up, with two M10 x 20 fixing threads.
  • To waterproof the post the IFP is factory fitted with an appropriate flange material to enable it to be weathered or sealed to the main roof area weathering which extends up the post.

Manufacturer guidance

Select material for weathering flange from the list below, or consult manufacturer and insert appropriate details.

Fixing plate

250 x 250 x 3 mm.

Guidance for specification option:

Inverted roof.

300 x 300 x 3 mm.

Guidance for specification option:

Warm roof.

Manufacturer guidance

Mild steel fixing plate, polyester powder coat (PPC) finish.

Accessories

None.
Direct fixings.

Guidance for specification option:

Direct fixing from plate to structural substrate.

  • Material: Corrosion resistant steel or stainless steel.
  • Size: 30–300 mm.
  • Suitable for timber, steel deck and concrete substrates.
  • Very high uplift resistance values: Maximum: 5 kN.
  • Low profile head.
  • TX25 drive.

Thermally broken fixings.

Guidance for specification option:

Two part fixing comprising a polypropylene tube washer and fixing screw. Creates thermal break between IFP plate and roof structure substrate. Only required for warm roof constructions.

  • Material: Polypropylene tube washer and corrosion resistant steel or stainless steel screw.
  • Size: 25–250 mm.
  • Suitable for timber, steel deck and concrete substrates.
  • Good uplift resistance values: Maximum: 4.1 kN.
  • Low profile head.
  • TX25 drive.

10 mm shim, IFP-SH.

Guidance for specification option:

Packing shim designed to fit over the anchor point where multiple anchor points need to be level. Can be used in multiples to achieve greater packing dimensions. Note that a longer bolt will be required to secure them to the anchor points: care should be taken in selecting the bolt length as the anchor points are blind threaded holes.

  • Material: High-density polyethylene (HDPE).
  • Size: Diameter: 76 mm; thickness: 10 mm.
  • Typical uses: Solar panel installations; roof walkway supports; signage supports; roof plant supports.

Cap nut, IFP-CN.

Guidance for specification option:

Low profile fixing designed specifically for use with the IFP. Allows the use of M10 studding for where the IFP requires bolting to the structure. The rounded low profile cap nut will not damage the roofing membrane that sits over it.

  • Material: A2 grade stainless steel.
  • Size: Head diameter: 25 mm; shank (diameter x length): 14 x 20 mm; internal thread: M10.
  • Typical uses: for using M10 studding to secure the IFP to the building structure by means of bolts or toggles.

M10 bolt set, IFP-BS.

Guidance for specification option:

Standard bolt set for IFP products, comprising a pair of M10 hex bolts and washers. Suitable for bolting materials 0.5–10 mm thick (for >10 mm thickness, a longer bolt will be required).

  • Material: A2 grade stainless steel.
  • Bolt length: 20 mm.
  • Typical uses: Unistrut and other rail systems; general bracketry.

Movement bracket (straight), IFP-MB1.

Guidance for specification option:

Connecting brackets designed for use with the IFP products. Fixing holes that allow it move to accommodate thermal expansion of the frame or support members fixed to it. For further details, including loading values, consult manufacturer.

  • Material: 304 stainless steel.
  • Size (l x w x t; overall): IFP-MB1: 160 x 75 x 3 mm.
  • Typical uses: For securing metal framing systems or other components where thermal movement should be provided for.

Movement bracket (right-angle), IFP-MB2.

Guidance for specification option:

Connecting brackets designed for use with the IFP products. Fixing holes that allow it move to accommodate thermal expansion of the frame or support members fixed to it. For further details, including loading values, consult manufacturer.

  • Material: 304 stainless steel.
  • Size (l x w x t; overall): IFP-MB2: 63 x 75 x 3 mm).
  • Typical uses: For securing metal framing systems or other components where thermal movement should be provided for.

Toggle fixing, IFP-TG.

Guidance for specification option:

For use in conjunction with the IFP-CN cap nut and M10 studding to secure the IFP products to the building structure. Suitable where the underside of the roof deck is not accessible or where the roof deck does not provide adequate pullout values using screw type fixings.

  • Material: Bright zinc plated (BZP) steel.
  • Size: 68 x 17.5 x 15 mm
  • Typical uses: to obtain improved pullout values for situation such as fixing to composite panel applications.

Universal bracket (straight), IFP-UB1.

Guidance for specification option:

Connecting brackets designed for use with IFP products. Fixing holes allowing it to be fixed in either axis and further adjusted to 15° either side of the chosen axis. Use in conjunction with IFP-BS bolt set. For further details, including loading values, consult manufacturer.

  • Material: 304 stainless steel.
  • Size (l x w x t; overall): IFP-UB1: 144 x 75 x 3 mm.
  • Typical uses: Securing metal framing systems; fixing timber joists.

Universal bracket (right-angle), IFP-UB2.

Guidance for specification option:
