Extruded polystyrene (XPS) thermal insulation designed for domestic and medium loadbearing floors.
Suitable for high performance residential and commercial buildings including domestic floors, industrial floors, cold storage floors and speciality floors.
High-performance, multipurpose extruded polystyrene (XPS) boards for the thermal insulation of domestic and industrial floors, basement and/ or cellar perimeter walls.
Features and benefits:
The skin of the extruded board has a smooth surface.
Homogeneous, closed-cell material structure comprised of extruded polystyrene (XPS), a rigid form of insulation.

To BS EN 13164.
Third party product certification
BRE, BBA, CE 13164.
To BS EN 13501-1.
Euro Class E.
Products contain an ecologically safe flame-retardant additive.
Compressive strength (minimum) at 10% compression
To EN 826.
Thermal conductivity (maximum)
To EN 13164.
50–125 mm thickness dependent on required U-value and application.
Face size (length x width)
2500 x 600 mm.
The maximum installation depth of the thermal insulation is determined by the load: the horizontal pressure must not exceed the compressive strength of the boards, taking into account the value of the permanent load.
Smooth surface skin (extrusion skin).
This product must be laid with no gaps between the boards in structures with contact to soil. For gluing, solvent-free adhesives must be used. Follow the supplier’s guidance.
RAVATHERM XPS X 300 SB
Primarily used for flooring application.
-50°C to +75°C maximum.
Provides the permanent application temperature of Ravatherm XPS X products. At higher temperatures, the boards will start to soften and suffer permanent deformation.
Compressive creep (design load) maximum 2% deflection after 50 years
To EN 1606.
Thermal resistance (R-value)
(Rd m2 .K/W)
Country of product manufacture
Ravatherm XPS X uses carbon dioxide as a blowing agent, which gives it an ozone-depleting potential (ODP) of zero and a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of less than five.
