Application

Used as a reduction of ignitability of soft and hardwood ≥10 mm thickness and other timber derivatives such as plywood, chipboard, fibre insulation board, hardboard and veneering ≥13 mm thickness.

Description

One-pack, ecological water-based fire protection coating for interior use which forms a carbon char under the effect of heat. It is tested to provide spread-of-flame protection and delays the inflammation of natural wood and wood derivates.


Features and benefits:

  • can be topcoated with Pyroplast Top WB to provide a colour
  • Free of halogens and aromatic solvents.
  • Insulates against heat, checks fire, prevents propagation of fire and spread of flame and diminishes high temperatures.
  • Up to 18 months shelf life.
  • Tested to EN13501-1.
  • Applied via brush and roller or airless spray.
  • Pack sizes of 5 kg (Pyroplast® Wood P Primer); 25 kg (Pyroplast® Wood P).

Pyroplast® Wood P Primer: 

  • Dry to touch: 3 hours (at 20°C and 60% relative humidity).
  • To recoat: 6–8 hours (at 20°C and 60% relative humidity).


Pyroplast® Wood P:

  • Dry to touch: 6 hours (at 20°C and 60% relative humidity).
  • To recoat with itself: 24 hours (at 20°C and 60% relative humidity).
  • To recoat with topcoat: 48 hours (at 20°C and 60% relative humidity).
