Protan UK Protected System - Prefabricated G Membrane - Cold Roof Construction

Protected PVC single-ply membrane roof system for cold roof constructions. Protan Prefabricated G membrane also contains a fungicide for protection against microbe attack and is FLL approved. It also has a slip-resistant surface, which provides a significant safety factor when walked upon in wet weather.

Features:

• Suitable for new build and refurbishment applications on ballasted and protected flat roofs.
• The membranes are manufactured from pliable PVC reinforced with glass fibre.
• The PVC contains stabilizers, which make the product UV stable and resistant to both high and low temperatures, and remains flexible at low temperatures, during installation and use.
• Protan Prefabricated G membrane also contains a fungicide for protection against microbe attack and is FLL approved.
• Protan Prefabricated G membrane has a slip-resistant surface, which provides a significant safety factor when walked upon in wet weather.

Durability:

Accelerated weathering tests and performance in service indicates that Protan Prefabricated G should have a life in excess of 30 years.

Fire resistance:

• When used in protected specifications, including an inorganic covering listed in the Annex of Commission Decision 2000/553/EC, the products can be considered unrestricted under the national requirements.
• Tests indicate that a system comprising an 18 mm thick orientated strand board (OSB) deck and a layer of Protan G fully adhered using a butanone adhesive will be unrestricted.

Substrates:

• Concrete roof decking.
• Plywood WBP to BS 5266–2 and BS EN 636–3, minimum thickness 18 mm.
• Roofing Grade OSB Board to BE EN 300, Grade 3, and minimum thickness 18 mm.

• Secret Fix Strips: 2.
• Tensile strength (EN 12311–2(A)): ≥500 N/50 mm.
• Elongation at break (EN 12311–2(A)): ≥200%.
• Tear strength (EN 13210–2): ≥120 N.
• Resistant to roof penetration according to FLL.
• Designed for use on ballasted or paved roofs.

Protection layer (recommended):

- Protan F2B Protection Fleece:

• Weight: 140 g/m².
• Material: Polypropylene.
