Protan has three green roof systems that can be applied to inverted roofs:
The Green Extensive Roof System supports low growing, lightweight and low maintenance planting schemes. The system will provide a consistent, colourful and aesthetic finish that is largely self-supporting and able to withstand harsh weather conditions such as drought and frost.
The Green Biodiverse Roof System is designed to create a natural habitat for local plants and insects and meet the environmental objectives of local, regional and national authorities. Biodiverse roofs can recreate natural habitats lost through developments on brownfield sites.
The Green Intensive Roof System supports diverse planting schemes including trees, lawns, coppices and paved areas. It is possible to create a roof garden, including recreation areas and amenity space. Intensive roofs require higher levels of maintenance compared to other systems.
