Single layer, reinforced bitumen membrane, warm deck roof covering.
Application
- Suitable for both new and refurbished roofs for use in conjunction with an underlay and capsheet to form fully bonded details.
- The system is to be installed by a member of Icopal’s IMA-approved contractor network only.

- Consult manufacturer for details of the preparation and priming of the intended roof structure and substrate and for details of the requirements for preparation layers, venting layers, nailing layers and taping strips.
Description
Single layer, torch applied system of high performance elastomeric SBS modified bitumen membrane. The product has special stripes on the underside to provide a partial bond and allow dispersion of trapped vapour.
Features and benefits:
- Elastotherm is a single layer torch-on mineral capsheet manufactured on a strong polyester reinforcement coated on both sides with SBS polymer modified bitumen.
- The underside is finished with a specially blended bitumen stripe pattern and finished with thermofusible film.
- The stripe pattern provides vapour equalization from entrapped moisture in the substrate avoiding blistering.
- The upper surface is finished with slate granules providing a decorative appearance and UV resistance.
- Offer a design and specification service (recommended that they are consulted early in the design process).
