Application

Suitable substrates include concrete, cement:sand screed, anhydrite/ hemihydrate screeds, existing vinyl/ flooring grade asphalt, existing glazed tiles, heated floors and plywood overlay on existing timber floors.

Norcros Prime Bond is recommended on certain substrates including power-floated concrete and plywood; see technical literature for details. Norcros Key Bond may be used as an alternative on existing glazed tiles and power-floated concrete.

Norcros Wet Seal Tanking Membrane is recommended for use in wet areas (or intermittent wetting such as showers and moisture-sensitive backgrounds).

Norcros Permalayer anti-fracture membrane may be used on newly poured (48 hours) concrete/ power-floated concrete and sand:cement screed.

Under-tile heating cables and mats should be encapsulated in a bed of Norcros Pro 10+ Compound.

Not for external or total immersion applications.

Description

A single-part, polymer-modified, self-smoothing levelling compound suitable for use from 0–10 mm thickness in one application without the requirement for additional aggregate.

The excellent levelling and flow properties of the product make it ideal for preparing sub-floors prior to fixing ceramic, porcelain or natural stone tiles and soft floor coverings. It is ideal for encapsulating under-tile heating mats and cables, protecting the heating elements during the tile fixing process and providing a level surface. It may be used for patching and feathering the sub-floor to cover depressions and ridges, trowel marks and day joints, in addition to smoothing over screw-heads and joints between plywood sheets.

Features and benefits:

  • Suitable for patching and feathering – 10 mm.
  • Good abrasion resistance.
  • Can be tiled on after three hours. Soft floor coverings can be applied next day.
  • Pumpable.
  • Typical strength: CT C30-F9.
