Product Options | Material: - Steel: Profiles are supplied in Black finish or pre-galvanized (GV-VC yellow chromated) finish. - Stainless Steel: Presto 50 only, profiles are available in mill finish to 1.4301 (304) or 1.4401 (316) standards. Profiles can be finish polished to various requirements. Glazing: - Non fire rated: Single or double glazed units can be accommodated by Presto 50 series. Standard minimum glass thickness of 6 mm is recommended and the maximum glass thickness is 34 mm (44 mm Presto 60) using various standard Forster clip-on bead designs in both steel and aluminium. Can be toughened or laminated - Fire integrity: Single or double glazed units can be accommodated for fire integrity requirements. Glass thickness: 6–25 mm for double glazed units. Consult manufacturer for exact details. Panels: - Non fire: Various constructed panel variations can be incorporated with the Presto system, and these can be made from steel faced two panel trays, flat steel/plastic sheets or timber panels. - Fire integrity: Panels can be constructed to achieve fire integrity. These need to be as a minimum, each wall thickness of 2 mm steel and with a rockwool infill. As a guide, the panels can be welded to the face of the profiles by slug welding or by crush folding top and bottom to produce a profile flange, welding to the profile in the glazing areas. Ironmongery: - General: Presto windows are designed to utilize a full range of Forster hinges, which are available depending on choice or application. Hinges are either screw fixed or are welded to the frame. |
