PowderLUX reproduces patination of metals and terracotta glazes. The process eliminates caustic and corrosive traditional patination methods and significantly reduces timescales of natural patination.
Suitable for external architectural projects and interior design on flat, profiled, fabricated and assembled materials including extruded and sheet aluminium, galvanized steel and mild steel.
Typical applications are: balustrade, balconies, rainscreen and façade, soffit, capping, flashing, trims and decorative elements. Louvres and solar shading. Planters, feature landscape metalwork and urban design.
Using conventional powder coating technology, applied via a unique process the PowderLUX finishes are exciting and interesting creating beautiful distressed metal effects on the on the surface of metal. The powders used have excellent UV stability whilst below the surface is a metal preparation that gives the finish a long service life ensuring that product performance and specifications are robust and comprehensive. PowderLUX finishes reflect the patinas seen in steel, copper, bronze and brass and the milky pool and gloss reflection of glazed terracotta.
PowderLUX finishes combine excellent visual detail with high protective performance.
