Application

Thermal insulation of a wide variety of flat roofs including:

  • Inverted roof below ballast or paving slabs;
  • Green/ garden roof;
  • Blue roof;
  • Conventional warm roof.

Description

A rigid extruded polystyrene (XPS) board for use in inverted and green roofs.

  • Has a low Global Warming Potential (GWP) of less than five and zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP).


Technical characteristics:

  • Vapour resistivity: The XPS content of Polyfoam Roofboard Extra has a water vapour resistivity of 625 MNs/g·m when tested in accordance with EN 12086.
  • Moisture absorption: 0.7% by volume when tested in accordance with EN 12087.
  • Durability: Continuous service temperature limits up to +70ºC.

Compressive strength (minimum) at 10% compression

300 kPa.

Highly resistant to compression and withstands both occasional and long term static loads. The high compressive strength and rigidity of the product allows a range of ballast material including gravel, soil and concrete slabs to be used as part of the construction.

Load bearing construction elements should be designed to adequately support the combination of imposed and dead loads without creating excessive deflection.
