Application

Provides hybrid ventilation for any space where a single-sided ventilation strategy is required. Most commonly used within classrooms/educational environments where the system meets the requirements of BB101 and BB93, but also suitable for commercial spaces too. Improves indoor air quality, thermal comfort and occupant wellbeing.

Description

The Hybrid Plus2 Aircool® ventilator combines the features of the Passivent Aircool ventilator (see separate NBS listing for these) with an innovative air tempering and mixing unit utilising a single energy-efficient fan to improve indoor air quality, thermal comfort and occupant wellbeing.


The unit (designed for fast and simple installation) can operate three modes of ventilation dependent on the internal and external environment, offering both air quality and thermal comfort.


It can be used in a wall, curtain walling or window construction (see separate BIM objects for wall or window application).

  • Max. flow rate when inlet & outlet resistances are equal and fan is in operation: 150 l/s.
  • Acoustic: A 30dBDn,e,w noise reduction is possible through the product with the damper in the open position, when tested to BS EN ISO 10140-2:2010* for element-normalised level difference and BS EN ISO 717-1:2013*. The system can be used to meet the acoustic requirements of BB93. specific fan power ranges between 0.133 to 0.40W l/s, depending on the ventilation rate.
