Description

Hot melt waterproofing system with a specially formulated combination of polymer-modified bitumen, synthetic rubbers, lightweight fillers and other additives, which are hot-applied with carefully selected reinforcement fabrics and protection layers to give a total waterproofing performance.


OptiBond-HM provides a tough, flexible, non-tracking, self-sealing waterproof membrane for use on inverted, green, and flat, including completely flat, protected roofs. It is also suitable for use as a damp-proof membrane in solid concrete floors or as the waterproofing layer above or below ground in concrete, brick or blockwork structures.

Guidance for specification option:

A root resistant protection sheet/ capsheet. It is an SBS modified bitumen membrane containing a chemical root retardant with a

polyester reinforcement carrier. The membrane is produced with a charcoal slate mineral finish that acts as an additional mechanical barrier to help prevent root ingress. The chemical additive is specifically designed to be used in waterproofing products making OB40-AR Protection ideal for use on flat roofing systems under living roofs and podium gardens. OB40-AR Protection is designed to be used in conjunction with the OptiTorch Premium Layered Roof Waterproofing Systems or with OptiBond-HM Hot Melt Waterproofing Systems as a replacement for OB36-SD Protection.

OB-SD36 OptiBond Sanded Protection Layer.

Guidance for specification option:

A high performance access layer composed of a reinforced polyester core, coated with a specially formulated quick melt SBS modified bitumen. Both upper and lower surfaces are coated in a fine sand finish, which prevents the roll from sticking together in storage and installation. OB36-SD Protection is designed to be used in conjunction with the OptiTorch-Premium Layered Roof Waterproofing Systems or with OptiBond-HM Hot Melt

Waterproofing Systems.
