Newton 106 FlexProof


Suitable for use where waterproofing is required within movement joints and at the interfaces of differing materials.

Suitable substrates include:

  • Concrete of at least 20 kN;
  • Concrete block walls with flush pointing;
  • Screed;
  • Metal;
  • Plastics;
  • Timber;
  • Glass.


A highly advanced single component liquid waterproofing material for the waterproofing of joints, which forms an elastomeric polymer membrane that is rainproof in minutes and capable of handling severe building movements and deformations.

The product provides a good bond to most building materials and with very high levels of flexibility, and is capable of resisting both negative side and positive side water-pressure at construction joints, even where movement is expected.

Newton 106 FlexProof has the ability to remain watertight against positive pressure, even when resisting 20% expansion and compression and 10% shear.

Surface preparation is required, as is protection after application - consult manufacturer for details.

  • Resistant to temperature variations maintaining its characteristics between -40 and +90°C.
  • Excellent resistance to the high alkalinity of concrete.
  • Where the product is exposed to UV and weathering, the life expectancy should be at least ten years.
  • Can be applied using a metal trowel, metal putty knife, brush for detailing, pouring directly from the bag (NV only) or cartridge gun (X1 only) - consult manufacturer for further details.


  • To be kept rain-free (light rain): At 5°C: For 15 minutes; at 10°C: For 12 minutes; at 15°C: For 10 minutes; at 20°C: For 10 minutes; at 25°C: For 5 minutes.
  • To be kept rain-free (heavy rain): At 5°C: For 20 minutes; at 10°C: For 17 minutes; at 15°C: For 15 minutes; at 20°C: For 15 minutes; at 25°C: For 10 minutes.
  • Ready for protection boards: At 5°C: After 30 minutes; at 10°C: After 27 minutes; at 15°C: After 25 minutes; at 20°C: After 25 minutes; at 25°C: After 20 minutes.
  • Fully cured: At 5°C: After 5 days; at 10°C: After 4 days; at 15°C: 4 days; at 20°C: 3 days; at 25°C: 3 days.

Medium viscosity version (X1) available in 290 ml or 15 kg containers. Low viscosity version (NV) available in 7.5 kg containers.


When fully covered and protected Newton 106 FlexProof will provide, under normal conditions, a durable waterproof coating for the life of the building to which it is installed.
