Light weight petrochemical grade high density inorganic fireproofing, formulated with Direct Corrosion Inhibitor (DCI).
It Developed as a superior product to protect steel and concrete meeting the harshest conditions found in petrochemical processing, refinery facilities, LNG facilities, offshore platforms, nuclear and conventional power plants, etc. It is a Portland cement based fireproofing formulated with bauxite and DCI requiring only the addition of water on site to form a consistent, pumpable and trowellable slurry. Weighing approximately 65–75% less than regular concrete, it can be applied at several thicknesses offering up to 4 hours hydrocarbon pool fire resistance.
It is not recommended in operating temperatures in excess of 93°C, for use over aluminium or other non-ferrous substrates, or use as a refractory material.

Standard product features | Bonding agent: Concrete substrates require the application of a suitable, approved bonding agent - seek advice from GCP. Colour: Grey. Combustibility: To BS 476-4, Class. Dry density: 640 kg/m³ (40 pcf). Finishing/ Sealing coat: Seek advice from GCP. |
Product Options | Thickness: A minimum thickness of 10 mm is recommended and a thickness up to 84 mm can be applied. Alternatively, a fire rating to BS 476-21 (30 minutes - 4 hours) can be specified. Refer to the Hp/A table supplied by GCP and/ or ASFP yellow book. Coatings: - Primer: It has been formulated with a special Direct Corrosion Inhibitor that has shown to retard the rate of corrosion due to chlorides and other aggressive environmental conditions. It shall not be used as an anticorrosive material, thus the use of an alkaline resistant, immersion grade, epoxy-polyamide coating (or system) compatible with Portland cement is recommended. - Topcoat: Generally not required, however in very corrosive environments a compatible breathable topcoat should be used to extend the life expectancy of the entire system.
