For interior environments where high-traffic resistance to physical abuse is required. Can be applied to:

  • Structural fire resistance;
  • Steel beams and columns;
  • Composite deck;
  • Concrete;
  • Cellular beams;
  • Refurbishment or new construction.


A Portland cement based cementitious fireproofing designed to meet specific commercial and industrial fire protection requirements on structural steel members, floor/ ceiling and roof/ ceiling assemblies. It is formulated for use in areas susceptible to damage, high humidity and semi exposed conditions.

Being Portland cement based it is hard and resistant to moisture and abrasion. Z-106 HY is to be used with GCP Injection system and Monokote® Accelerator to reduce the set time. The applied fireproofing will set typically within 15 minutes; thus, allowing the operative to apply a second coat almost immediately. This unique fast setting properties enables Z-106 HY to withstand adverse weather conditions encountered during the construction phase. It is, therefore, ideally suited for application to the building whilst in its “open envelope” stage.
