Application

Primarily for use as a primer for polyurethane waterproof coatings, polyurethane joint sealants and polyurethane and epoxy floor coatings on non-absorbent/ semi-absorbent/ absorbent surfaces such as:

Concrete or power floated concrete;
Wood;
Metal (various);
Asphalt;
Bitumen felts;
Ceramic tiles;
Glass;
Old acryl-based coatings etc.

Description

Transparent, rigid, epoxy primer. For use as a primer in waterproofing, sealing and floor coating applications on non-absorbent, semi-absorbent or absorbent surfaces.

Cures by reaction (cross linking) of the two components.

Certified to EN 1504-2: Surface protection products for concrete (0.2 kg/m²); part of ETA 21/0248 IETcc (EAD 030350-00-0402); EPD verified.
Milky yellow in colour (transparent).
Simple application (roller or airless spray).
Low odours.
Excellent anchoring to absorbent and non-absorbent surfaces.
Can be applied on moist surfaces without loss of adhesion.
Resistant to stagnating water.
Can be diluted with water.
Provides high tensile and impact strength.
Heat and frost resistant.
Stops the creation of dust.
Chemical resistant.
Supplied in metal pails of 15 + 5 kg, or 3 + 1 kg.

Composition	Epoxy resin + hardener, water-based.

Coverage	0.1–0.2 kg/m², applied in one or two layers. Guidance for specification option: Based on practical application by roller onto a smooth surface in optimum conditions. Application temperature: 10–35°C; overcoating time: 6–12 hours (both at 20°C, 50% relative humidity).
Mix	A:B = 3:1.
Adhesion	To EN 1542, >2 N/mm² (aluminium); >4.5 N/mm² (concrete).
Shore A hardness	To ASTN D2240, >95.
Service temperature	-30 to +90°C.
Pot life	45–50 minutes (at 20°C, 50% relative humidity).
Final curing time	Seven days (at 20°C, 50% relative humidity).
Resistance to water penetration	To DIN EN 1928, no leak (1 m water column; 24 hours).
