Application

Top coat for use on:

Waterproofing of roofs;
Waterproofing of balconies, terraces and verandas.
Protection of polyurethane foam insulation;
Compatible with decorative floor flakes;
Compatible with silica sand.

Can be used over MARISEAL® 250, 250 FLASH, 260 etc. on surfaces with light pedestrian traffic (e.g. roofs/ terraces/ balconies etc.) that require a glossy, colour-stable and non-chalking finish.

Description

Pigmented, colour and UV stable, highly-permanent elastic polyurethane coating, used as a top coat for protection over exposed polyurethane waterproofing membranes.

Performance characteristics	Resistance to water pressure, to DIN EN 1928: No leak. Gloss retention after 2000 h of accelerated aging, to DIN 67530: Good. Gloss chalking after 2000 h of accelerated aging, to DIN EN ISO 4628-6: No chalking observed; chalking grade 0. Infrared emittance, to ASTM C1371-04a: 0.89 (white only). Solar reflectance index (SRI), to ASTM E1980-01, 107 (white only). UV accelerated aging in the presence of moisture, to EOTA TR-010: Passed. Hydrolysis (5% KOH, seven day cycle): No significant elastomeric change. Tack free time: 1–3 hours. Light pedestrian traffic time: 12 hours. Chemical properties: Good resistance against acidic and alkali solutions (5%), detergents, seawater and oils. Guidance for specification option: Time results based on conditions of 20°C and 50% relative humidity (RH).
