Application

Suitable for high-rise buildings where high ventilation is needed, whilst keeping occupants safe from the risk of falling from a window.

Description

An aluminium louvre which can be used with the inward opening SPW300, SPW600 and PURe® window systems. Available anodized in either silver or bronze, or in any standard RAL colour.

Features and benefits:

The system is easy to install.

Consists of an external adaptor and oval shaped blades, which are fixed to the outside of an inward opening window.

It can be positioned horizontally or at any angle up to 45° in either direction. This means the windows can open to their maximum angle, maximizing ventilation whilst guarding those inside from the risk of falling from the window.

Manufactured from extruded aluminium, the system is fully recyclable and has a lifecycle of more than 40 years.

Fully compatible with SPW300, SPW600 and PURe® inward opening windows.

It is either fixed through the face of the window or through a bespoke coupling mullion, therefore maintaining the thermal barrier. It has been fully barrier load and impact load tested and is available with a maximum blade span of 1000 mm. Barrier load tested to BS 6180 and impact load tested to BS EN 13049: Class 5.

Standard product features

Materials:

Framing sections/ louvre blades: Extruded aluminium alloy 6060 or 6063 T6 to BS EN 755-9 or BS EN 12020-2.

Thermal barriers: Polyamide manufactured in accordance with PA66 GF25.

Construction:

Constructed using louvre blades screwed to a receiver section, which is screw fixed to the relevant window outer frame/ mullion. Screw fixings are then concealed with an extruded capping section which is then finished with an injection moulded end cap.
