Product Options

Roof pitch:

Pitches below 4° will require the external sheet of the panel to be turned for weathering on site as follows:

  • At the eaves: Turned down, typically by 20°.
  • At the ridge: Turned up, typically by 45°.

Roofing panels:

- External facing:

- Colour/ Finish:

  • ARS abrasion resistant: 28 µm-thick polyester or polyurethane resin reinforced with polyamide high durability coating with exceptionally good handling characteristics.
  • Kingspan XL Forté™, colour: Multi-layer organic coating, embossed with a traditional leather-grain finish.
  • Kingspan Spectrum, colour: Coated semi-gloss finish with slight granular effect.
  • Mill finish: Stucco embossed with lacquer.
  • Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), colour: 25 µm-thick stoved fluorocarbon coating which has excellent colour stability even at temperatures as high as 120°C.

- Internal facing:

- Colour/ Finish:

  • CLEANsafe 15: For use as the internal lining of insulated panels. Standard colour is “bright white” with an easily cleaned surface.
  • Kingspan AQUAsafe: Developed for use as the internal lining of insulated panels to suit high humidity internal environments.
  • Kingspan AQUAsafe 55: For use as the internal lining of insulated panels to swimming pool internal environments.
  • Kingspan CLEANsafe 120: For use as the internal lining of insulated panels where a high level of cleanliness and hygiene is required, and the panels are to be cleaned down on a regular basis.
  • Stainless steel: For use as the internal lining of insulated panels in buildings with a very aggressive or corrosive internal environment.

- Primary fasteners:

Verge sides only:

  • Two fasteners for each purlin position; consult manufacturer's installation guide for details.

Halter clips:

  • Type: KZ1-90 clips with EPDM thermal break pad.
  • Number/ location: to side lap at each purlin.
  • Fasteners: Dependent on wind suction load and location of the roof - structural engineer should be employed to undertake relevant calculations. Minimum: KS500: two fasteners; KS1000: three fasteners. Consult manufacturer's installation guide for details.

- Secondary fasteners:

Self-drilling, self-tapping end lap fastener/ bulb type rivet 35–38 mm long with 19 mm washer. Number/ location dependent on panel cover width (KS500: Minimum five fasteners; KS1000: Minimum ten fasteners).
