Please note in an on-site acoustic test, a partition can result in a 3 dB to 5 dB lesser performance than under laboratory conditions. This can be further affected by ambient noise levels on the receiving side of the test sample and by poorly insulated abutments and voids above and below the partition which will result in a ‘flanking’ path for audible sound.
