AcousticRating

Guidance for specification option:

47–51 dB (Rw). Insert requirements.

Manufacturer guidance

Please note that in an on-site acoustic test, a glazed partition or doorset can result in a 3 dB to 5 dB lesser performance than under laboratory conditions. This can be further affected by ambient noise levels on the receiving side of the test sample and by poorly insulated abutments and voids above and below the partition which will result in a ‘flanking’ path for audible sound.
