Knauf Wall Liner System is extremely versatile and can be specified for application on masonry backgrounds with moderate irregularities between 20 and 125 mm.

Features and benefits:

It can accommodate any range of Knauf Plasterboards (other board types specified separately).
Can overcome substantial irregularities on background.
The lining void can accommodate large service runs and any required insulation.
Little or no background preparation is required.

Knauf Wall Liner must be installed in accordance with Knauf ’s recommendations and the recommendations of BS 8212: 1995 and BS 8000: Part 8: 1994.

Support	Knauf 'C' channel (47 x 17 mm) at required centres to suit maximum height. Reduce Knauf 'C' channel centres to 400 mm for areas to receive ceramic tiled finish when using Knauf plasterboard. Knauf Universal Brackets at centres to suit maximum height (maximum spacing 900 mm). Knauf 'U' channel - Perimeter Support 20 mm 'U' (0.55). Approved fixings at maximum 600 mm centres. Manufacturer guidance Maximum ‘C’ channel spacing dependent on System code; see also Partition height for details. It is the responsibility of the site installation team to ensure all fixings are checked for suitability to the substrate and loadings in accordance with the manufacturer’s certification and relevant approvals.

Finish	For paint finishes: System must be taped and jointed using Knauf Joint Filler (Premium) or Knauf Joint Cement Premium and Knauf Joint Tape (Paper). Or alternative Knauf jointing compounds manufactured to EN 13963. Knauf Wallboard Primer applied once taping and jointing completed. Prior to where paint decoration is required. For preparation for decoration of where gypsum plaster skim is required, the outer layer of plasterboard joints is required to be taped and filled, using Knauf Joint Filler (Premium) and Knauf Joint Tape (Paper) meeting quality level 1 in accordance with Eurogypsum - Drywall Jointing & Finishing - Surface quality level classification. For application where gypsum skim finish is required, the Knauf system is to be taped and filled using Knauf jointing compounds. When using Knauf Performance Plus, the applicator of gypsum skim finish is required to check if pre-treatment is required.

Deflection head	If deflection is to be accommodated, recommendation to stop short head of wall liner system, the required dimension short of the soffit and install uppermost support bracket on each Knauf 'C' Channel. Refer to Knauf standard details.
