Description

Knauf GIFAfloor creates strong versatile flooring systems

Knauf GIFAfloor systems use highly engineered, structural dry screed panels made from sustainable materials. Fibres from wholly recycled paper are blended with a mix of natural and flue gas desulphurised gypsum to create non-combustible gypsum fibreboard / calcium sulphate panels with an A1 fire rating.

Knauf GIFAfloor panels are manufactured in a lamination process and pressed to the optimum density, resulting in an inherently strong and consistent product.

Engineered tongue and grooved edge profiles ensure a strong bond when laid, creating robust monolithic floors with excellent load-bearing capability, the ideal substrate for a wide range of finishes, including natural stone or porcelain finishes. The addition of frames and panels can be incorporated to give access into the void below the floor. Ideal overlay board to spanning objects such as CLT, cradle & batten or joists.

GifaFloor is a fantastic alternative to traditional wet screed as there is no long drying time. The floor is walkable within hours of being installed

Features and benefits:

  • Load bearing gypsum fibre panels.
  • A1 non-combustible fire rating.
  • Dimensionally stable & robust.
  • Classed as "Thermally Transparent" - Excellent heat conductivity
  • Suitable substrate for hard finishes.
  • EPD certified product.
  • Manufactured from highly recycled content.
  • Low embodied carbon.
  • 100% and easily recycled at end of life.
  • Indoor Air Quality Gold - Eurofins Certified.
  • Easy to lay and quick to walk on.
  • Installed directly to spanning objects such as CLT, cradle & batten or joists.
  • Finishes can be installed directly, without the need for de-coupling layers.
  • Excellent acoustic properties due to high density material.
  • Building lifetime warranty.
  • Improved sustainability compared to cement or timber boards
