Application

  • Specifically designed for domestic kitchens where electric cookers are fitted.
  • Suitable for a variety of kitchen settings including homes for the elderly, people with special needs and student accommodation.
  • Fulfils the requirements for all types of installations (cooker hood, wall and ceiling).

Description

Specifically designed for domestic kitchens where electric cookers are fitted, the Firechief Stove Guard prevents fires from happening by monitoring the temperature of a cooker hob and cutting power when it detects that the temperature is too high. A slimline heat sensor monitors the cooker temperature from above while the stove guard control unit talks wirelessly to the sensor, cutting power to the cooker to prevent kitchen fires before they begin. This innovative safety device can be installed by a qualified electrician in around 15 minutes and provides protection from pans that are left unattended.

Features and benefits:

  • Stops fires when cooking before they can start.
  • Creates safer homes - especially for the elderly and vulnerable.
  • Designed for easy installation on electric cookers.
  • Intelligent heat sensor activates cooker switch when pre-fire conditions are detected.
  • Automatic fault diagnosis - no monthly testing.
  • Exceeds requirements of stove guard standard EN 50615.
  • Unobtrusive, slimline sensor design.
  • Cost-effective and safer alternative to domestic hob fire suppression systems.
  • Provides 24/7 monitoring and learns the user's cooking styles to reduce false alarms.
  • Measures excessive temperatures, rate of temperature change and ambient temperature to accurately predict danger.
  • Monitors cooker top overheating and detects abnormal changes in temperature.
  • Wirelessly talks to the control unit and cuts off the electricity supply to the cooker when a hazard is detected.
  • Removing the sensor from the installation plate sounds an alarm and cuts power to the cooker to avoid vandalism.
