Application

Used in industrial applications in the following ways:

  • As active isolation, to prevent noisy equipment (power presses, printing presses) from disturbing the surrounding area.
  • As passive isolation, to prevent sensitive equipment (body coordinate measuring machines, dynamometers) from being disturbed by structure-born vibration.

Also used in:

  • Cupping presses.
  • Roll grinders.
  • Recycling centres.
  • Forges.
  • Long-bed machinery.
  • Metrology and inspection.

Description

Full isolation foundation.

Features and benefits:

  • Isolated foundations which combine the use of high performance vibration isolation materials, mass dampening and rigid fixing of the equipment to the foundation.
  • It provides effective, low frequency isolation of machinery and equipment through a concrete inertia block.
  • The isolating material surrounds the inertia block to prevent vibration entering or leaving.
  • Alignment is maintained during changes in static and dynamic loads. This is beneficial for long-bed machinery, modular machines or high-precision equipment.
  • Added mass from the inertia block significantly reduces vibration levels.
  • Inertia block reduces the centre of gravity (CoG), which can be beneficial for equipment with a high CoG.
  • Manufactured in accordance with BS 6177:1982 and BS EN 1337-3:2005.
