Description

Stannah Stairisers provide access for people who cannot climb steps or stairs. They are inclined wheelchair platform lifts, which travel up and down a stairway. They carry one person simply and safely, with or without a wheelchair. Stairiser inclined platform lifts are designed and manufactured to fit individual stairways. They can be installed inside or out, so provide solutions for elevated entrances. They also provide customers with a practical solution to providing access in premises which cannot accommodate a traditional vertical lift. Stairisers are simple to install and use and conveniently fold away when not in use. There are two models for straight or curved stairways

Features:

  • Lift platform folds neatly away when not in use.
  • Lift can be adjusted for right or left hand fixing and is fastened directly to a wall or supported bystanchion posts, or a mix of both.
  • Non-slip platform floor.
  • Flush or surface mounted constant pressure landing call stations with key switch isolation.
  • End or side access to the platform available.
  • Platform control handset with audio alarm button.
  • Fully automatic, with electrically controlled folding platform and barrier arms.
  • At the landings, only one edge lowers so the user can get on or off safely while all other sides remain up.
  • Barrier arms surround and protect the user, locking down before the platform moves.
  • Platform stops automatically when its sensitive surfaces detect obstructions - safety barrier arms and platform can be operated manually in an emergency.
  • Soft start and stop for maximum comfort.
  • Remote attendant control.
  • Audio signal for moving platform (can be turned on or off).
  • Weight overload shutdown (Stairiser CR).
  • Variable speed (Stairiser CR).

Stairiser helps to meet the requirements of:

  • The Equality Act.
  • Part M of the Building Regulations (England and Wales) and Section 4.2 of the Technical Handbook (Scotland), both of which cover the requirements that many new buildings must meet to ensure ease of access and use.
  • BS8300:2018 (Part 1 and 2) Code of Practice covering the design of buildings and their approaches to create an inclusive environment.

All of our Stairisers are CE marked and comply with the latest Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
