Hyload Tanking Membrane 3100HD - Damp proofing membrane

IKO Hyload Tanking Membrane 3100 is flexible SBS polymer modified torch applied bitumen sheet material that can be used as a fully bonded damp proofing membrane and as Type A Barrier Membrane protection within a structural waterproofing system

designed to be compliant with the guidance of BS8102:2009.

Features and benefits:

• The membrane has a tough, non-woven polyester fibre reinforcement, coated both sides with SBS polymer modified bitumen.
• The lower surface is protected by a thin polyethylene film and the upper surface is protected by a tough, non-woven polyester fibre mat which is firmly bonded to the membrane. This provides built-in protection from backfilling and eliminates the need for separate protection board, screeds and other protective measures.
• Full bonding to the substrate is achieved by torching, which disperses the film to expose the bitumen.
• Excellent lap adhesion and security is achieved by bonding the bitumen interfaces by torching.
• Designed for use as a damp-proof and waterproofing membrane under concrete screed and floor slabs, podium slabs, underground structures and internally and externally-applied tanking below ground, in accordance with the relevant clauses of CP 102, Section 2 or BS 8102, provided they are fully supported and protected.
• The membranes are compatible with concrete, smooth brickwork and blockwork or screeded substrates and are resistant to those chemicals likely to be present in normal service conditions.
• Membranes are generally loose-laid on horizontal surfaces and torch bonded to primed vertical surfaces.
