Application

The multi-safe systems are designed to fix to structures, including walls, soffits, steelwork and roofs.

Description

Designed to fix directly to roof sheets and offer fixings methods for all major roof types. Systems can be either 8 mm steel wire-based or rail-based, with posts up to 15 m centers.


The RoofSafe cable system has been designed to complement the RoofSafe anchor product range, taking advantage of the low system loads generated in the event of a fall. The system can accommodate multiple workers providing that site, systems and structural parameters permit. 


The force management technology permits the use of thin metal roof sheets and other roofing substrates as structural anchors, by limiting the forces in a system that are generated in the event of a fall to less than 10 kN (2200 lbs) through a built-in energy absorber.


Features and benefits:

  • Multi-directional and can activate and absorb energy no matter in which orientation the load is applied, providing freedom and flexibility in system design.
  • Energy absorbing system inside the RoofSafe anchor reduces the overturning moment on the fixings by half enabling the use of fewer fasteners in many circumstances.
  • Toggle fixing method for flat roofing systems speeds up installation time and reduces thermal bridging, reducing heat loss from a building.
  • RoofSafe anchor utilizes marine grade alloys in its design to reduce the overall weight and save shipping costs.
  • The base plate designs incorporate multiple fixing options to help reduce the complexity of specification and in turn helps maximize inventory to ensure speedy delivery.
  • RoofSafe anchor for flat roofing systems has been designed to be easy to weather proof ensuring the integrity of the building envelope.
  • RoofSafe cable system uses high quality 316 stainless steel.
  • System spans up to 15 m (49.2 ft) between intermediate supports, minimizing roof penetrations.
  • Electro polished components provide long-term corrosion resistance.
  • System performance can be calculated using custom design software providing assured levels of safety.
  • The system maintains a minimum safety factor of two for multiple users.
  • Conforms to EN 795:2012, CEN/TS 16415, OSHA, AUS/NZ standards and has been tested to both EN 795:2012 Type A and C standards.
