A highly effective upgrade to meet the acoustic requirements of national Building Regulations.
A highly effective acoustic upgrade solution designed for residential or office/ commercial conversion or improvement work to upgrade an existing timber floor joist floor to meet the acoustic requirements of national Building Regulations. It can also be used in new-build to improve the internal environment by reducing sound transmission through upper floors.
The system comprises Gypframe lightweight metal floor channels loose laid over floor joists to allow 19 mm Gyproc Plank to fit between the channels. This ensures that the floor level is only increased by the thickness of the channel (7 mm). The plywood flooring must be to an approved national standard, minimum thickness 21 mm and have all edges tongued and grooved.
Specify the ceiling construction in work section K10.
