Description

Window sill with 18 mm dropfront, manufactured from chipboard substrate and laminate.

Features and benefits:

  • The front edge is postformed and laminate is returned on the reverse side, with a radius of 10 mm.
  • Rear edge protected (0.3 mm white edge EVA bonding).
  • Food safe (according to EN 1186 and EN 13130).
  • Steam, heat and abrasion resistant (according to DIN EN 438).
  • Impact resistant (according to ISO 13894).
  • Light-fast (according to EN 438).
  • Resistant to common household chemicals.
  • FSC® certification available on request.

Components (from top to bottom):

  • Laminate overlay (to face side and front edge).
  • Decor paper.
  • Kraft paper.
  • Chipboard substrate, 18 mm (type P2, according to DIN EN 312).
  • 0.15 mm kraft paper (resin impregnated, to the reverse side).
  • Water resistant balancer (to the inside edge).

Technical characteristics:

  • Formaldehyde emission (to EN 13986): Class E1.
  • Water vapour resistance (to DIN EN 438-2): ≥ a moderate change in gloss level and/ or colour.
  • Stain resistance (to DIN EN 438-2): ≥ a moderate change in gloss level and/ or colour.
  • Impact resistance (to ISO 13894-1): ≥13 N.
  • Heat resistance (to DIN EN 438-2): ≥ a moderate change in gloss level and/ or colour.
  • Light fastness (to DIN EN 438-2): Grey scale 4–5.
  • Abrasion resistance (to DIN EN 438-2): Moderate change in gloss level and/ or colour (decor related deviations are possible).
  • Swelling after storage in water for two hours (to EN 317): 5%.
  • Swelling after storage in water for 24 hours (to EN 317): 20%.
  • Distortion: ≤4 mm/m.
  • Edge fissures: Standard size: ≤10 mm; cut-to-size: ≤1.5 mm.
