Flatbase

A cost-effective edge protection that complies with all regulations pertaining to temporary and permanent edge protection for maintenance works.

The handrail is a counterbalanced system allowing for non-penetrative installation both during construction and retrospectively. Its unique low-profile base removes the need for unsightly counterbalance weights with the added benefit of reducing trip hazards.

The modular design makes Flatbase easy to fit and adapt. It’s light and easy to erect, with just three main components. An anti-slip rubber mat under the foot ensures that the roof is not damaged. Folding, curved and top fix systems are also available, contact manufacturer for information.

Components:

• Two horizontal tubular members span between vertical tubular members at approximately 600 mm and 1100 mm above roof level.
• Stability to the system is provided via steel base plates located at the base of each vertical member with a bolted spigot connection.
• End runs are completed using elbow fittings with tube.
• The system can be also be fixed to a wall using wall plates and resin.
• Fittings for connections are fully TUV tested and approved.
