Evolution - Powder coating


Suitable for internal and external projects on flat, profiled, fabricated and assembled materials including architectural aluminium and galvanized steel, balustrade, balconies, rainscreen, facade and curtain wall, soffit, capping and flashing, trims and decorative elements, louvres and solar shading.


Evolution is an exciting development in powder coating design, creating beautiful and striking effects on the on the surface of metal. Evolution finishes reflect the patinas caused naturally by metallic oxidation, ageing and changes in composition.

Evolution powders combine excellent visual detail with high protective performance.

  • Excellent weather resistance, good edge coverage, leaves no residue or stain.
  • Tactile finish.
  • All powders in the range are Qualicoat class 1 approved or better.
  • Resistance to boiling water, no blistering and no loss of adhesion.
  • Cylindrical mandrel bending, tested to ISO 1519, 5 mm mandrel, no cracking or detachment.
  • Conforms to BS EN 12206-1.

Natural effect. Both distinctive and heterogeneous. Low gloss and tactile.

For c2 and c3 environments: 25 year warranty for gloss, colour and adhesion, for, c4 and c5I; c5M environments: guarantees are conditional on project location, environmental conditions and pre-contract approval.

To ISO 16474-2:2013.

Sulphur dioxide resistance

24 cycles no infiltration.

Exceeding 1mm from the scribe, no change in colour or blistering in excess of 2(S2) to ISO 4628-3.

Constant humidity resistance

1000 hours.

To ISO 6272-2, <1mm scribe creep. No blistering in excess of 2(S2) to ISO 4628-2.

Impact resistance

No cracking or detachment.

Tested to ISO 6272-2, Reverse Impact test.

Erichsen cupping

No cracking or detachment.

Tested to ISO 1520, minimum 5 mm indent.


No blistering or coating detachment.

Scratch resistance

E2 Pass.

To BS 3900.


Aluminium - Titanium-zirconium (TiZr) non-chrome 6-stage pre-treatment, Galvanized steel - silane (oxsilan) non-chrome 8-stage pre-treatment.
