Sadolin Extra Durable Clearcoat offers the performance characteristics of a woodstain with minimal pigment content.
Application
Suitable for windows, doors and conservatories.
Preparation:
- Sadolin Woodfiller: Making good any minor surface defects, imperfections and open joints etc.
- Sadolin Stainable Woodfiller: Suitable for larger surface defects.
- Sadolin Wood Preserver: Solvent-borne preservative treatment for softwood timber.
- Sadolin Quick Drying Wood Preserver: Water-borne preservative treatment for softwood timber.
- Sandtex Trade Fungicidal Wash: Use to remove organic growth from surfaces.
Primer/ base stain:
- New and uncoated woodwork: Sadolin Extra Durable Clear Coat.
- Previously coated woodwork: Patch prime with one or two coats Sadolin Classic, to match existing colour.
Description
Sadolin Extra Durable Clearcoat works with the wood by providing a flexible barrier that protects wood from the damaging effects of rain, moisture and sun/UV light. Behaving like a protective skin, Extra Durable Clearcoat will expand and contract with wood to help significantly prevent blistering and flaking.
Sadolin Extra Durable Clear Coat is an ideal on-going maintenance product.
General information
Color | Clear On light coloured woods, Sadolin Extra Durable Clear Coat will impart a light golden colour to the timber. As with all translucent coatings, the final colour and sheen are dependent on a number of factors, including the timber species, colour and cut, and the presence of any existing coating. A trial application is recommended prior to the commencement of work. |
