Application

 Designed for Class A balconies and terraces.

Description

A fire-rated terrace substructure for exterior paving systems.

Seamless connection between adjustable pedestal, aluminium rail and paving headpiece to ensure heavy duty substructure and weight tolerance.

Minimum build-up 47 mm (excluding paving slab / porcelain tile).


Features and benefits:

  • Heavy duty steel adjustable pedestals with exterior grade coating capable of loads exceeding 2 tonnes each.
  • Rails are Class A1 rated (EN 13501-1:2018) and fully compliant with BS 8579.
  • Specially profiled bearer rails/ joists click onto Metalpad and MetalPad EX pedestals.
  • I Plus single rail and double box aluminium rails click onto pedestals securely without need to screw fixings.
  • Fully integrated substructure system for seamless connection.
  • Greater spans between pedestals possible.
  • Joists “tie together” pedestals, giving more lateral strength to frame.
  • Fast and simple to install.
  • All fixings and connectors provided.

  • Mild steel pedestals with Zintec 200 exterior protective coating for long-term exterior applications.
  • Standard base plate: 100 mm diameter (sufficient for applications onto hard sub-surfaces such as concrete).
  • Fire classification: To BS EN 13501-1, Class A1.
  • Consult manufacturer's literature for details.

MetalPad EX pedestals with spreader plate.

  • Height range: 26–675 mm.
  • Mild steel pedestals with Zintec 200 exterior protective coating for long-term exterior applications.
  • Standard base plate: 100 mm diameter (sufficient for applications onto hard sub-surfaces such as concrete).
  • Additional 175 mm diameter spreader plate, suitable for applications where pedestals are mounted directly onto softer surfaces, such as insulation or waterproof membranes.
  • Fire classification: To BS EN 13501-1, Class A1.
