Brighten Up® Series Solatube® 290 DS (350 mm)

Roof dome:

Transparent, injection moulded impact-resistant polycarbonate roof dome, TP(a) rated, incorporating UV screening up to 380 nanometres to prevent discolouration from solar radiation. Fire rated and hurricane impact tested. The dome incorporates patented Raybender® 3000 Fresnel lens dome technology and a LightTracker™ dome reflector system which combine to ensure maximum daylight harvesting at roof level.

Roof Flashing:

Flat roof flashing with a 150 mm parallel upstand providing watertight performance and straight forward installation.

Flashing insulator:

Neoprene flashing insulator seals and insulates the roof flashing from the internal building climate to eliminate roof flashing condensation.

Top tube assembly:

Injection moulded dome ring assembly with condensation filter and seal, connected to a 305 mm long 99.7% reflective Spectralight® Infinity tube that incorporates a 0–30° angle adaptor.

Ceiling tube assembly:

Injection moulded ceiling ring with twist-fit ceiling clamps, connected to a 305mm long, 99.7% reflective Spectralight® Infinity tube that incorporates a 0–30° angle adaptor.

Diffuser:

Classic Vusion™ diffuser with prismatic lens, secondary lens with neoprene seal, white ceiling trim.

Fixings and fasteners:

Aluminium tape, dome fastening kit, expansion joint seal, sealant.

Diffuser or glass ceiling fixture:

• OptiView® diffuser: This technologically advanced diffuser uses a multiple Fresnel lens system providing a stunning architectural look to deliver crystal clear daylight, with white ceiling trim.

• JustFrost glass ceiling fixture: Contemporary stunning design with a single layer frosted tempered safety glass ceiling fixture with three silver-coated metal studs.

• OptiView® glass ceiling fixture: This technologically advanced design uses the multiple Fresnel lens system providing a stunning architectural look to deliver crystal clear daylight, with a fully tempered safety glass ceiling trim.

• TierDrop glass ceiling fixture: Triple layered tempered safety glass ceiling fixture with three silver-coated metal studs.

Roof flashings

• Pitched roof flashing with a 150 mm parallel upstand and Solaflex Kit, providing watertight performance and straight forward installation.

• Bespoke roof flashings are available for non-standard roof types including corrugated metal sheet roofing, thatched, green and commercial roofs. Contact manufacturer for further information.

Accessories:

- Dome security bars:

Stainless steel security bars insert into the flashing turret across the diameter of the opening. The bar is fastened using tamper-proof rivets and prohibits entry through the dome.

- Dome security kit:

Six rivets with protective nylon spacers which replace dome screws to reduce the possibility of the dome being removed.

- Intumescent fire collar:

For applications requiring compliance to BS476-20.

- Solatube® Daylight Dimmer™:

Ideal for bedrooms, presentation areas and "quiet rooms". The Solatube® Daylight Dimmer™ (CE approved) fits inside the tube, and butterfly valves controlled via the low voltage wall-mounted switch, allow you to control the amount of daylight coming through the Solatube® Daylighting System - from fully open to fully closed, or any point in between.

- Solatube® Electric Light Add-On Kit:

Provides the additional convenience of a switched light, rated at 75 W for night time use (bulb not included).

- 99.7% reflective Spectralight® Infinity extension tube, straight 610 mm long:

Extension tubes telescope together to give the tube length required to meet the install distance from roof dome to ceiling diffuser/glass ceiling fixture.

- 99.7% reflective Spectralight® Infinity 0–90° adjustable angle adaptor 580 mm long:
