BMU - Building Maintenance Unit - Facade Access Equipment

Range of Building Maintenance Units (BMU's) to provide access to facades of buildings for activities such as window cleaning and glazing replacement. Each unit is bespoke to suit the nature of the building and the work required.

Every product is manufactured and tested following at a minimum, the requirements specified by the 2006/42/EC European Directive of Machinery, and specifically, the European standard EN 1808:2015 (safety requirements on suspended access equipment).

GPN Model:

The GPN is one of the most versatile BMU within Eurosafe's portfolio. It is used for buildings of all heights where the roof allows the traversing movements on rails parallel to the parapet. Due to its limited reach (4—5 meters maximum), the GPN is normally installed in buildings with straight facades or even setting back facades when it incorporates a pantograph. The GPN model has two jibs, it can operate with cradles of different sizes and its affordable price makes it one of their most popular designs.

GPI Model:

The GPI model is used for buildings of all heights with straight or negative facades (when using a pantograph).

Thanks to the height and long reach provided by its single jib, this BMU is a solution for buildings where the roof design does not allow movement on rails directly parallel to the parapet.

The GPI model comes with a range of options to adapt to a building needs. Bespoke solutions may include:

• Telescopic jib.
• Luffing jib.
• Radio control.
• Multilayer drum hoist (up to 500 m).
• Traversing on rails or on concrete paths.
• Telescopic mast.
• Slewing ring.
• Turning T-jib.
• Wire rope with electrical core.

GPIT Model:

The GPIT model is used for buildings of all heights with straight or negative facades (when using a pantograph). It is a suitable solution for buildings where one BMU has to provide access to the different façade protrusions.

As per the GPI model, the GPIT can work on roofs with multiple obstacles and can incorporate a pantograph to provide access to set back facades.

The GPIT model comes with a great range of options to adapt to a buildings needs. Bespoke solutions may include:

• Luffing jib.
• Radio control.
• Multilayer drum hoist (up to 500 m).
• Traversing on rails or on concrete paths.
• Telescopic mast.
• Slewing ring.
• Turning T-jib.
• Wire rope with electrical core.

GCM Model:

The GCM model is a roof car that uses powered cradles TP01 and TP02 for one or two people respectively.

This BMU offers similar performance to other models but its use is limited to buildings up to 120 m tall with simple facades and clear roofs.

Thanks to its compact size, the roof car can traverse easily around the perimeter of the roof.
