For exterior wood protection. Can be applied to new and previously painted or stained surfaces, and is particularly suitable when a complete change of colour is required, or whether the existing surface has become weathered and uneven in appearance.

Description

Solvent-borne, opaque woodstain providing a flexible finish for exterior wood, including decking. The microporous formulation works with the substrate to resist cracking, peeling and flaking.

Preparation:

  • Sadolin Woodfiller - Making good any minor surface defects, imperfections and open joints etc.
  • Sadolin Stainable Woodfiller – Suitable for larger surface defects.
  • Sadolin Wood Preserver – Solvent borne preservative treatment for softwood timber.
  • Sadolin Quick Drying Wood Preserver - Water borne preservative treatment for softwood timber.
  • Sandtex Trade Fungicidal Wash - Use to remove organic growth from surfaces.

Primer/ Base Stain:

  • New and uncoated joinery – Sadolin Beautiflex.
  • Previously coated joinery – Patch prime and bring forward with Sadolin Beautiflex.

Satin.

Composition:

  • Pigment: Light fast coloured pigments and UV scavenger.
  • Binder: Alkyd resin.
  • Solvent: Dearomatised white spirit.

Drying time:

Recoatable after 16 hours under normal drying conditions.

Spreading rate:

  • Smooth planed timber: up to 15 m²/ litre.
  • Rough sawn wood: up to 8 m²/ litre.

Wet film thickness:

67 micrometres at 15 m²/ litre.

Dry film thickness:

32 micrometres at 15 m²/ litre.

VOC Content:

EU limit value for this product (cat A/e): 400 g/l (2010). This product contains max. 399 g/l VOC.
