Description

A PMMA based balcony waterproofing system with PIR insulation and cement board. Particularly suitable for both new build and refurbishment projects. Hardwearing finish, available in a variety of colours - cold applied waterproofing.

Weplus SA VB PL - Vapour barrier and preparation layer.
Weplus insulation/cement roof board adhesive.

System performance	Fire performance: Broof(t4) classification to EN 13501-5:2016. Guidance for specification option: Refer to the Warrington Fire classification report for details.
Preparation	-
Horizontal work	Weplus SA Bonding Agent. Guidance for specification option: One-component, solvent-based SBS adhesive primer. Used to aid adhesion of Weplus SA VB PL to concrete and various porous substrates.
Skirtings and vertical work	Weplus SA Bonding Agent.
Air and vapour control layer	Weplus SA VB PL. Guidance for specification option: A multi-layer self-adhesive vapour barrier and carrier membrane made of polymer-modified bitumen with a glass-fibre mat reinforcement and an aluminium foil as top layer. Can be applied over most common substrates such as concrete, plywood/OSB and metal decks.

Fixing	Weplus insulation adhesive. Guidance for specification option: A single component polyurethane roofing adhesive, developed specifically for the bonding of rigid insulation boards to a variety of roof decks and vapour control layers.

Type	Weplus cement roof board primed with Wecryl 176. Guidance for specification option: Weplus cement roof board: 12 mm thick board. Euro Class A1 - BS EN 13501-1 Class A1 non-combustible. Wecryl 176: Two-component, fast-reactive/ fast-curing PMMA-based (polymethyl methacrylate) resin primer. Available in white or clear (unpigmented).
Fixing	Weplus insulation adhesive.
Liquid-applied waterproofing	-
Type	Wecryl R 230 and Wecryl R 230 thix waterproofing resins. Guidance for specification option: Two-component, fast-curing and highly flexible. Wecryl R 230 thix is a variant of Wecryl 230 with improved non-sag/ thixotropic properties to reduce run-off when the waterproofing resin is applied to sloping and vertical surfaces. It is used primarily for the waterproofing of details. Available in RAL 7032 pebble grey and RAL 7043 traffic grey (Wecryl R 230 thix/Wecryl R 230 thix HT).
Reinforcement	Westwood reinforcement fleece.
Surface treatment	Wecryl 333 self-levelling mortar, quartz sand 0.71–1.25 mm, Wecryl 489 wearing layer. Guidance for specification option: Wecryl 333: Three-component, fast-reactive, flexibilised and filled PMMA-based self-levelling mortar. Serves as protection for the waterproofing layer. Available in RAL 7032 pebble grey and black. Quartz sand: Installed into the wet Wecryl 333. Wecryl 489: Two-component, fast-curing, pigmented PMMA-based (polymethyl methacrylate) sealing resin. Available in RAL 7030 stone grey, RAL 7032 pebble grey, RAL 7035 light grey, RAL 7043 traffic grey. More RAL colours upon request.
