Creates a waterproof coating that prevents water penetrating through the tiling background, which could otherwise result in costly damage.
A two-part acrylic, cement based mix. Prevents water from the shower penetrating into the tiled background, which can cause costly damage to adjacent rooms. When cured, the coating is flexible, waterproof and causes no discoloration of the grouted tile joints. Applied in two coats.
The use of timber-based sheets and boards should be avoided if at all possible in wet locations. Ideally, they should be replaced or over-sheeted with plasterboard prior to application. Timber-based sheets or boards are not recommended for use in commercial showers etc.
Concrete floors and cement/sand screeds may also be protected from the ingress of surface water.
