Floor screed that combines excellent workability, speed and performance. Manufactured in accordance to BS 8204: Part 1. In situ Floorings – Bases and Screeds.
ARDEX A 29 Rapid Drying Floor Screed is used to produce bonded, unbonded and floating screeds in internal or external locations. A 1:7 mix is suitable for most normal screeding situations. An ARDEX A 29 Screed passes the BRE Screed (ISCR) after 24 hours (tested on 50 mm unbonded at 20°C).
Cement for screeds that has been developed to perform in real-site conditions, and combines excellent workability, speed and performance. The Rapid Hardening formula allows it to be walkable from just 8 hours, and tiled over in as little as 24 hours, while resilient floor finishes can be installed in just 7 days compared to over 30 with standard sand and cement screeds.
The working time of the mixed screed offers a large 90 minutes at 20°C, meaning the flooring contractors can mix and apply more screed at once with plenty of time for compacting and levelling, giving the perfect subfloor.
A very economical 1:7 mix (cement:sand) is suitable for most normal screeding situations, and can be applied at the conventional thicknesses for normal cement/sand screeds:
Minimum 20 mm at 1:5 ratio and minimum 25 mm at 1:7 ratio, (design thickness up to 40 mm) for bonded screeds.
Minimum 50 mm for unbonded screeds.
Minimum 75 mm for floating screeds. 65 mm in lightly loaded (domestic) locations.
