Ambient™ Acoustic Finishing System

A high-performance acoustic plaster system for ceilings. It is highly versatile, environmentally friendly, non-combustible and is available in a variety of aesthetically pleasing finishes and colours. The system is used in a wide range of settings such as theatres, opera houses, reception areas, hotel lobbies, class rooms, lecture halls but is also suitable for domestic applications.

Terraco’s Ambient™ Acoustic System is comprised of two acoustic components which are used to achieve excellent acoustic properties. Ambient™ Basecoat or Ambient™ Acoustic Board mineral fibreboard, which can be fixed to any substrate or metal furring structure and Ambient™ Finishcoat, a decorative finishing plaster, spray applied in layers and available in a wide range of colours. It can be finished smooth or with a light texture according to application method employed.

Standard product features


Terraco Ambient™ Finishcoat DP is a finish-coat acoustic plastering compound for use as part of the Terraco Ambient™ Acoustic Ceiling System. It is supplied in powder form and is suitable for spray application. It can be finished to a textured or smooth finish according to application method employed. It is a pre-coloured system available in a range of 50 attractive shades. Special colours may be supplied on request.

Noise reduction coefficient:

39%: 10 mm system (2 mm finishcoat/ 8 mm basecoat).

46%: 20 mm system (2 mm finishcoat/ 18 mm basecoat).

74%: 43 mm system (3 mm finishcoat/ 40 mm board).
