Aluminium open out casement window.

Features and benefits:

  • Wide range of styles and designs including top hung, side hung, French casement and fixed light, all suitable for use with residential new build and refurbishment projects.
  • Windows project out and can be fully customized in terms of security, weather and functionality.
  • Windows are Secured Byby Design accredited and are Q-Marked in accordance with BS 4873 and PAS 24.
  • Aluminium profiles are extruded in accordance with BS EN 12020, and are manufactured from grade 6060/6063 T6 aluminium.
  • Compliant with ADL1/ ADL2 capable of achieving U-values of 1.4 W/m²K.

Outer frame:

Compatible with a range of ancillary profiles including frame extenders, bay posts, corner posts, couplers and sills.

Sub sill:

  • Concealed drainage can be directed downwards through sub sill or drainage tray.
  • Alternative drainage path can be directed through front face of section.

Configuration:

Manual opening vents are hung on frictions stays and incorporate AluK locking handles, espagnolette locking and 100 mm restrictors.

Glazing:

- Glass panels:

28–40 mm glass look-a-like panels incorporating two panes of minimum 6 mm-thick glass, with a 16 mm argon gas filled cavity and ceramic painted internal face with foil backed insulation to achieve a maximum 0.35 W/m²K centre pane. Exposed internal faces of insulation incorporate an internal polyester powder coated aluminium tray backing.

- Glazing:

24–40 mm insulating glass units incorporating a clear low emissivity inner pane and a clear outer pane with an argon gas filled cavity and 'warm edge' spacer bar to achieve a maximum centre pane U-value of 1.0 W/m²K. All glass within 800 mm from FFL should be toughened or laminated (within 1500 mm from FFL if within 300 mm of a door).

- Infill panels:

28–40 mm insulated sandwich panels incorporating two sheets of a minimum 2 mm-thick polyester powder coated aluminium sheet to match framing and minimum 24 mm non-combustible foam insulation core.

Finish:

  • A variety of powder coated colours are available in accordance with BS 6496 and BS EN 12206-1:2004. Powder coating is applied to a Qualicoat standard, utilizing an inline flash anodizing pre-treatment process, with the polyester powder coating applied within 30 minutes of the flash anodizing process to ensure suitable adhesion.
  • Windows can be dual coloured, textured or have an anodized finish.

Ironmongery:

  • Accommodation for offset and Euro Groove shootbolt locking.
  • Compatible with a range of 17 mm stack height standard and heavy-duty friction stays.
  • Compatible with butt hinge.
