Application

Aku125: Typically installed to form new spaces and separations, including those where Building Regulations – Part B (fire safety) and Part E (resistance to sound) compliance is required. Suitable for purpose-built dwelling-houses and flats formed by material change of use.

  • Laboratory tested, in accordance with BS EN ISO 1364-1, to 79 minutes fire resistance.
  •  Laboratory tested, in accordance with BS EN ISO 10140-2 & 717-1, to Rw 49 dB.

 

Aku133: Typically installed in front of existing walls. Suitable for party walls between dwelling-houses and flats where a significant increase in sound insulation is required.

  •  Laboratory tested, in accordance with BS EN ISO 10140-2 & 717-1, to Rw 43 dB.

 

AkuStudio: Typically installed to form new spaces and separations where very high levels of sound insulation are required. Suitable for interview rooms, recording studios and test chambers.

  •  Laboratory tested, in accordance with BS EN ISO 10140-2 & 717-1, to Rw 62 dB.

Description

Akustak®, by Mute Group, is a zero waste, acoustic modular wall system.

 

Designed for materials optimization and off-site construction, Akustak® eliminates waste during manufacture and installation, whilst its unique demountable form facilitates recovery and reuse at the point of deconstruction.

 

Akustak® has been laboratory tested for fire safety and resistance to sound, guaranteeing Building Regulations – Part B and E compliance.

 

Prefabricated and portable, Akustak® radically reduces construction timescales, with systems installed from 15 m2 /hour, ready for plastering and/ or decoration.

 

Akustak® has been selected for Innovative Start-up Membership by the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) and for growth and scale support, through the UK innovation agency’s Innovate UK EDGE.
