Pre-tested options and project specific testing available.

Description

BCL timber ceilings - acoustic panel systems that offer increased design and performance flexibility for creating wooden slatted ceilings for large commercial spaces.

BCL's open-configurable approach offers thousands of design options, whilst harnessing the efficiency benefits of prefabrication, to deliver high-performance acoustic timber ceilings, sized according to layouts - removing any cutting or modification on site and allowing faster, more efficient installation with less on-site waste.

Features and benefits:

  • Full systems fire testing to EN 13501-1.
  • BIM level 4 full system design (in Revit or similar).
  • Integrated services/ lighting.
  • SIDOS compliant ‘bomb-blast’ grids available (including bespoke).
  • Flexible wood panel sizes to suit layouts - no cutting = < 1% waste.
  • Secret-fixings - wood slats age better and coatings last longer.
  • Solid wooden slats - natural variation and beauty.
  • FSC® and PEFC certified - Full BREEAM Mat03 credits.
  • High recycled content (typically 20%).
  • High natural/ organic content (typically 65%).
  • Bespoke fire retardant colour coatings.
  • Coloured acoustic fabrics.
  • Anti-viral/ bacterial infection control options.
  • Direct installation service.

BCL offer multiple suspended ceiling grid options, depending on your application and acoustic panel performance requirements, including:

  • Fully Demountable - Particularly suitable for flat low level timber ceilings, requiring regular access. Panels lay-into an PPC aluminium sub-grid, which can be fully concealed (CD-1, CD-2) or can be an exposed 'Tegular' system. (ED-1).
  • Fixed/ Semi-demountable - Usually used for high-level, pitched, or suspended wood ceilings that require more security. Panels screw-up to underside of aluminium sub-grid and can be mechanically unscrewed for demounting if necessary.
  • Fixed/ Curved - Allowing the creation of complex curved surfaces. Timber panels are 'hung' to aluminium tubular sub-grid to create dramatic curves in your suspended ceiling.
  • Bomb-blast/ Tethering - Additional options to allow extra security or compliance with special regulations (e.g. SIDOS, DREEAM etc.).

Ceiling support

CD-1 Concealed Demountable.

Guidance for specification option:

Panels 'lay-in' to a fully concealed T-bar sub-grid and can be easily lifted, tilted and demounted from grid (with or without safety tethers).

CD-2 Concealed Demountable Baffle.

Guidance for specification option:

Baffle style panels 'lay-in' to a fully concealed T-bar sub-grid and can be easily lifted, tilted and demounted from grid (with or without safety tethers).

CS-1 Concealed Semi-fixed.

Guidance for specification option:

Panels 'screw-up' to the underside of fully concealed T-bar sub-grid, can be mechanically unscrewed to demount if required.

CF-1 Concealed Fixed (curved areas).

Guidance for specification option:

Panels 'hang' to a fully concealed tubular sub-grid using suspension hooks.

ED-1 Exposed TEGULAR Demountable.

Guidance for specification option:

600 x 600 mm square panels 'lay-in' to exposed T-bar sub-grid and can be easily demounted.
