Application

Particularly suited to renovation and re-purposing applications where the structural slab is not designed to take the weight of a concrete floating floor or where wet trades are prohibited. Applications include:

  • Music practice rooms.
  • Recording studios.
  • Home cinemas.
  • Existing structures.
  • Some commercial cinemas (consult manufacturer for details).

Not suitable for TV studios or 4DX cinemas: consult manufacturer for details of related CineFLOOR products for these applications.

Description

100% timber acoustic floating floor system for cost-constrained projects.

Features and benefits:

  • High levels of sound insulation can be achieved due to the variable stiffness response of the isolation strips (note there are compromises at the lowest frequencies).
  • Farrat CineFLOOR acoustic isolators provide flexibility in terms of dynamic stiffness and damping. Bespoke configurations are available; consult manufacturer for details.
  • Can be designed with a combination of timber, plasterboard and cement particle board layers to offer variable mass and resistance to moisture.
  • Easy to install, with minimal operational maintenance required.
  • Part of a range of acoustic floating floor solutions for auditoriums of all shapes and sizes.
  • Provides complete flexibility in terms of dynamic stiffness and damping.
  • Warranty: Up to five years.
