Available exclusively through SIG Design & Technology and manufactured in the UK, Armourplan SM is a polyester-reinforced PVC single ply roof membrane suitable for use in a wide range of roofing applications on both flat and sloping roofs. The membrane can be installed onto most common substrates and is suitable for both new build and refurbishment installations and for specialist applications such as simulated metal roofs. Armourplan SM can be either mechanically fixed using suitable IKOfix fastenings or fully adhered and forms a sleek skin on many types of roof application. All overlaps are heat welded using suitable hot-air welding equipment. Guaranteed for up to 20 years with BBA life expectancy in excess of 30 years, it offers exceptional mechanical properties.

The chevron patterned walkway membrane provides a slip resistant surface and provides additional protection to the waterproof membrane in areas where mechanical damage is more likely to occur. Copper alloys are the new highlight façade materials: singular, extremely durable and distinctly alive. One of the best-known copper alloys, Brass is given particular quality in the form of TECU® Brass, a special alloy of copper and zinc. The TECU® Alloy materials also display individual characteristics as they weather naturally to exteriors. The original surface of TECU® Brass changes through from initial matting gradually to a greenish-brown, that further develops to greyish brown then dark brown/anthracite colours. Sloped areas such as roofs ultimately develop a patina surface, akin to that of pure copper, yet quite clearly different.

After installation on the building, TECU® Classic retains its typical bright red copper colouring for a period of time. Changes are very gradual and not entirely predictable. First, the surface turns matt. Gradually, the material develops an oxide layer to protect it against the effects of weathering. This process brings with it striking colour variations through an entire range of brown and brown-violet tones, offering varying nuances according to change of light and season. Ultimately, on the sloping surfaces, the colour process yields a robust green patina as is typical for copper surfaces. This patina lends the cladding its distinctive character, at the same time providing long-lasting protection for decades to come.

Bronze an alloy of copper and tin and a synonym for metallic works of art. While artists have long made use of bronze, architects are now also able to make optimum use of the material for more refinement in façade design. The original warm reddish-brown surface of TECU® Bronze develops in a distinctive manner through weathering. A brown-red surface oxidation with a brown-grey undertone is typical for this alloy; the material then gradually changes to dark brown anthracite throughout. The subsequent patina coating forms much more slowly than with pure copper.

An innovative alloy of copper with a small proportion of high-grade tin. TECU® Premium has a finely beaded pre-structure and a matte finish. Subtle reflections ensure an elegant appearance when light strikes it. Its particular surface structure enables a special oxidation pattern: it oxidises faster and more intensively and evenly, with a more matte finish than the well known plain rolled TECU® products. TECU ® Premium can be excellently processed with modern cladding techniques as well as with traditional metalworking craftsmanship. It is slightly harder than normal copper and can be better soldered thanks to its tin content.

An innovative polyurethane-based liquid waterproofing system ideal for protecting against cut edge corrosion of metal roof sheeting. The SIGnature Edge Corrosion and Coating System comprises fast curing polyurethane liquid joint sealants, primers and fibrous coatings, which are applied over existing roofing systems to create a durable and seamless waterproofing layer. Due to the coatings excellent tensile strength there is usually no need to incorporate additional reinforcing fabric; the system is easily applied by brush, roller or squeegee. When properly installed by SIGs Accredited Contractors (DATAC) the products are guaranteed for 10 years. A separate liquid coating and thickening agent are also available for total roof coverage.

The SIGnature PU Liquid Waterproofing System is a revolutionary, fast curing, pure elastomeric, hydrophobic, polyurethane flat roofing system available in two product formats. SIGnature PU-20 Liquid Coating Kit comprises two components which when mixed together create a single coat application, rapid curing liquid roofing membrane which can offer a 20-year guarantee. SIGnature PU-10 Liquid Coating is a single component liquid membrane, single coat application with a 10-year guarantee. Both SIGnature PU Liquid Coatings can be applied as a single coat with only localised reinforcing as required, creating a bubble-free and durable liquid applied roofing system. SIGnature liquids can be applied all year round above 5°C and are cold applied no heat or flame required.
