When fixing Magply, screws should have a thread the whole length of the shank (to the tip) for maximum strength and resistance. Specialist details are available. For Fire Resistant Applications useeither Magply 4 Hour Intumescent Sealant or Magply A1 Filler Adhesive. The length of fixings and centres depends upon national regulations and applications. As a guide the fixing should be a minimum of 28mm into the timber stud plus the thickness of the board. For standard drywall applications, use a galvanised or phosphate coated fixing along with standard jointing and taping.

MAGPLY PLASTER BOND is a mineral based plaster primer which is designed to control high suction backgrounds on Magply MGO boards whilst still remaining vapour open. The primers fine gritted surface provides a key for a new suitable plaster to bond to. MAGPLY PLASTER BOND is in-dependently tested by audited facilities Sheffield Hallam University and PRA coatings, for vapour diffusion to reassure you that water vapour is not trapped in the fabric of your building. No VOC, no odour, water-based and certified as vapour permeable. Our natural mineral and wa-ter-glass primer free from any other cobinders such as solvents, gypsum and cement and is non-hazardous. MAGPLY PLASTER BOND plaster primer is available in 17kg UN certified containers.

Magply 12mm Board offers the perfect substrate for use with thin proprietary render systems on to Timber or Light Gauge Steel Frames. Magply is a high strength, breathable board manufactured from MgSO4 and reinforcement meshes which provide excellent dimensional stability. Magply is A1 Non-Combustible and has been tested with a variety of render systems by the British Board of Agrément.
